A Focus on Geriatric Pharmacotherapy

The North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services (NSMSGS) Pharmacy Community of Practice, in conjunction with GeriMedRisk, presents our second annual A Focus on Geriatric Pharmacotherapy conference.

This session will be of interest to pharmacists whose practice involves older adults, as well as physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs and other team members with an interest in medication management of older adults. 

The program includes:

• a review of the 2024 guidelines on behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia
• minor ailments prescribing for older adults
• recommendations for Vitamin D supplementation
• comparison of the new drugs for Alzheimer's disease
• new studies of importance in older adults
