Shelley Cameron, Performance and Quality Lead, brings a vast array of healthcare experience to her role with 18 years’ of clinical experience and leadership. Shelley supports performance evaluation and improvement as well as the advancement of program quality improvement initiatives, within NSM Specialized Geriatric Services.
Prior to joining the NSM SGS program, Shelley served as Chief Executive Officer for Helping Hands, Orillia, a Community Support Service agency that supports seniors live independently in their homes, while maintaining and enhancing their quality of life. Prior to that she was the Manager of Community Services for the Victorian Order of Nurses in Barrie, and a Clinical Manager for the Barrie and Community Family Health Team, overseeing the development and implementation of several services and programs including the Aging Well Clinic and the Lung Health program.
Shelley believes that system transformation is key to ensuring our NSM residents receive the right care, in the right place at the right time. She is very keen to bring that interest and belief to NSM SGS while supporting continued quality improvement and working to further enhance meaningful patient/client/family/caregiver experiences.
Shelley is a Registered Nurse with a BScN from York University, as well as a Clinical Leadership Certificate. She is currently working on her Masters in Health Management from McMaster University.
